Born into a ministry family, Joshua grew up serving the materially poor in Eswatini. His time in the field gives him his drive and purpose.

Heather is currently the longest serving member of PIA having joined in 2011. During this time, she has had the privilege of cultivating great relationships with our ministry partners and donors, while providing oversight and support. She manages finance, accounting and daily administrative functions. She loves coming to work each day and being part of such a great team. Her heart for ministry is apparent to all who meet her.

Nancy has 10 years of work experience in missions with one of the most impactful churches in America. Her love for the transformative work of PIA drew her to this time.

Grant Sardachuk

Chairman of the Board

Grant is currently the Managing Partner of Wild Rose Investments, LLLP and its affiliated Canadian company, Centurion Holdings a Canada based family owned real estate merchant banking company. He has been involved in numerous businesses and investments, with a particular emphasis on the real estate industry. Grant has taken an active role in several investee companies, both as a member of the board of directors and as a consultant or interim executive. The Sardachuk family is a strong and passionate supporter of the work of the Christian church and particularly engaged in the ministry and mission of McDowell Mountain Community Church. The Sardachuk family has been actively supporting financially and spiritually mission works in the Phoenix area (as well as other parts of the U.S.) and in Mexico and Ukraine. Grant has been married for 37 years to Shelagh and they have one daughter, Christy (married to Michael Fay), and four grandchildren (Oliver, Wesley, Crosby and Abby).

Ken Herfurth

Board Member

Ken has over 25 years of executive leadership expertise creating, leading and executing integrated business models, comprehensive financial and legal structures, business transformations, growth strategies, and M&A activity across multiple industries including entertainment, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail, banking, construction/real estate, technology, medical and technical engineering. He is a leader in building social entrepreneurship organizations primarily focused in technology, healthcare, and entertainment related opportunities serving multiple digital, interactive, film and other media companies. Ken is a founding partner in Performance Edge Partners, a small boutique funding and business growth company. Most recently, Ken participated in the launching of iDonate and facilitated the growth process of StoredIQ including the eventual exit to IBM. He has primarily focused on private and venture equity projects completing multiple transactions. Ken received his Bachelor of Material Science and Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1996 and an MBA from University of St. Thomas in 2001.

Rick Ueable

Board Member

Rick is the co-founder, owner and CEO of Foods 2000, Inc. which operates forty-five Subway restaurants across Arizona. Nationally he has served on the board for the Independent Purchasing Cooperative for Subway since 2000. Rick, who travels multiple times a year to Africa, serves as the PIA representative on the Bulembu Board. Bulembu is a 4,300-acre abandoned mining town in Swaziland that has been transformed into a growing town to include an orphanage for hundreds of children. Rick also serves on several boards; Mission Create, Two Nine Foods Group (Zambia) and the Phoenix Police Department. In his spare time, Rick enjoys weight lifting, hiking and spending time with his two daughters.

Frans Pienaar

Board Member

Frans is a civil engineer with a strong background in construction, and in growing businesses across Africa. He currently act as business advisor to several businesses and manage investments in property, manufacturing, building and hardware retail.

He also serves on the boards of The Luke Commission a non-profit with a vision to transform through community upliftment, as well as serving on the board of Swazi Airways.

Jim McKee

Board Member

Jim formed McKee Asset Management in 2001. Jim was raised in Newark, Ohio. He received his BS degree with a double major in Economics and Finance from the University of Dayton. Jim is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, The International Economics Honor Society. After graduation, Jim worked in the treasury area at NCR Corporation. During his time at NCR, he received his MBA from the University of Dayton. Prior to forming McKee Asset Management, Jim taught the following courses at Capital University for over sixteen years; Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Investment Finance, and Corporate Financial Management. Jim has more than 30 years of financial planning experience working with corporations and individuals.

In Jim’s spare time, he enjoys being an active member of the Tipp-Monroe Optimist Club and serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Luke Commission. Jim lives in historic downtown Tipp City with his wife, Cheryl. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. His daughter, Kate, resides in New Bern, North Carolina, with her husband, Patrick, and their sons, Jackson & Warren. His daughter, Maggie,  joined the family business upon graduating college in 2011 and resides in troy with her husband JD and son James and his son, Patrick, graduated from Jim’s alma mater, The University of Dayton, in 2015.
